Not sure who this is...memo from Lee Judd says that Henrys grandfather was Martin Lehman...not sure who his father was IF this is correct
Note H00139 Index
Per Lee Judd's memo and Layman/Lehman book, "there seems to be an implication that the immigrant ancestor was Martin Lehman, b.1-1-1744 Weisbaden, Germany. It appears that Henry b. 1808 would be Martin's grandson, but we do not know which of Martin's sons was Henry's father. Maybe it was Henry?
Lancaster County would seem to refer to Lancaster County, Pa. and from earlier information about "Paradise" PA, we know there was a place called Paradise in Lancaster County, Pa. I don't know what the reference "Martin" in the far right column of the first page may mean, perhaps it refers to the father Martin, or perhaps it refers to a place in Lancaster County, Pa."

In old Cardwell notes show Clayton's wife as Rose LNU. However, Rand Cardwell shows by marriage record, a marriage to Eleanor M. Scott. Making this note in case her nickname was Rose.

Hey Sandy; I came across your wonderful job on the Arrasmith family with the connection to my Fooks family by way of Sarah A. Dean. Sarah married my GGG-grandfather on July 4, 1880 near Galesburg in Knox County. My GGG-grandfathers name was James Fox(the fox was changed from Fooks) sometime around 1870 by James. James was a school teacher in Galva, Ill. This was his second marriage, he was first married to Arminda Bolding, Knox Cty, they had a son named Owen Fox. Arminda died in childbirth with their second child. Sarah married James when Owen was about 5 yrs old. Joel Dean was born in Tenn.in abt. 1819. Elizabeth was born in Ky abt. 1840. Sarah was married once before James but that name wasn't on the marriage cert. Sarah was born in Blackhawk Twp., Rock Island, Ill. As were all the children. I was in Knox cty. this summer and found several documents. I was surprized to find Squire F. Dean living was a family by the name of Henry and Rachel Thompson of Blackhawk at the age of 11yrs. He remained with them until he was 22 yrs. old, I could not find anything else after that. Sarah died July 19, 1883 from Lung fever/pneumonia.She had been ill for 15 days. She was buried in Knoxville cemetary on July 25th 1883., Knox cty, Il. Sarah and James had no children. James was the son of Morris William Fooks from MD and Olive Sweetser from Ohio. James was born in Mo. I am still looking for more information on James and Morris. Hope this is of some help to you.
